Leonid afremo

i realy love the feel of thes paintings from Leonid Afremo. they include a large amount of contrast to bring out the full feel of the oranges and reds. they feel warm but carm to me. i would like to be able to develop this style in to the colourful areas of my art.

Wright of Derby

i truely love the work of the wright of derby. he uses the contrast to adapt some truely mistical and inspiring lanscapes. hes has a keen sence for detail aswell showing every ripple and bump in the waters surface. i would love to do something similar in my work that focuses on this style of intensity in areas.

Caravaggio

Caravaggio was an italian artist from between 1593 and 1610. hes artwork focused heavily on the style of Chiaroscuro and most of the paintings were of religious situations. his strong use of colour and his use of contrast could help further adapt my work and help me strengthen focal points of the paintings.

chiaroscuro

high contrast images. the heart of most types of film noir technequies. this style is called chiaroscuro a high-contrast style that is not necessarily in black and white. this could benifit my style vastly if i can learn and develop this technique.

Edward hopper Etchings

These etching describe the core theme of film noir in the form of lighting. this style of line could be applied to my study of film noir art.

animals may be an area that i would like to possibly like to bring in to my unit 3: trying to resemble them directly or using the image of them to indoctrinate the viewer of a specific feel. Ideas of animals mostly range on preditors. the idea of animals linked to people like the golden compass springs to mind.
